WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC - A man who escaped from a South Carolina prison last summer was sentenced to another year in jail last week.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says that 61-year-old Kenneth Ray Wiley was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Florence. He was charged with escaping from prison and sentenced to one year to be served consecutively to his current federal sentence.
Wiley was serving a sentence at Federal Corrections Institute Williamsburg in Salters for possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He escaped on June 18, 2010.
Wiley was arrested the next morning by the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office in a wooded area in Williamsburg County.
The case was investigated by agents of the United States Marshals Service.
