GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Robbers managed to drag an automated teller machine from a Piedmont bank.
But they didn't get the cash inside.
Greenville County sheriff's deputies were able to track scape marks to the ATM beside a road near the Commercial Bank.
Deputy Matthew Armstrong says officers found a broken chain and tow straps thought to have been used to try to secure the ATM to a vehicle.
Armstrong says the machine had not been opened.
He says surveillance video from the bank has not helped in the investigation.
No arrests have been made.
