NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Two new developments have happened in the labor complaint against Boeing and the new North Charleston 787 Dreamliner assembly plant.
First, the National Labor Relations Board has reportedly failed to meet a deadline from Congressman Darryl Isaa who chairs the House Oversight committee, which held a hearing in North Charleston last month.
Issa filed a request for documents from the NLRB. He wants to know what led the board to take action against Boeing.
Also, Boeing has asked to protect the company's trade secrets during the ongoing hearings in Seattle.
The head lawyer for the NLRB contends Boeing needs to prove the information should be protected.
