Charleston School of Law receives accreditation

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The Charleston School of Law has received full accreditation from the American Bar Association.

Dean Andy Abrams said the ABA's decision Friday is the culmination of seven years of work since the school became just the second law school in South Carolina. The Charleston School of Law expects to have about 700 students enrolled when classes begin later this month. The school has already produced 898 graduates.

The law school requires its students to donate 30 hours of their work to public service projects before they can graduate.
