LADSON, SC (WCSC) - Hundreds of friends and family came out to celebrate the life of Lonnie Ewan in Ladson on Sunday.

Ewan was killed last Wednesday night after police say a drunk driver who happened to be his co-worker hit him.

Hundreds of friends and family came together at American Biker in Ladson to remember the life of Lonnie Ewan.

Ewan was a father and husband and most of all a good friend.

"He was a great man. He would help anyone whether you broke down and needed help with your bike or just needed a friend," says Tuesday Crosby."Lonnie was always there for you."

Ewan was a mechanic at American Biker. Last Wednesday night, he left work on his bike where law enforcement officials say he was hit by a co-worker who had been driving drunk.

"He was hit by another employee and he fell off his bike, he wasn't dead at that point but three other cars came by and ran him over and were still trying to find out who they are," says Rich Worley owner of American Biker.

Investigators are still searching for the three cars that hit Ewan.

Sunday was for friends and family was about remembrance. Ewan, or Jackyl as his friends called him, leaves behind a wife and young son.
