CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The teenager accused of causing a crash that killed an elderly woman posted bond on Wednesday after a judge had it reduced.
Samuel McCauley's bond for felony DUI was reduced from more than $100,000 to $50,000 on Wednesday. In addition, a judge has ordered McCauley to be placed under house arrest.
McCauley is also charged with reckless homicide.
Charleston police officers say Samuel McCauley drove the wrong way on July 24 on Interstate 26 just north of Coming Street.
According to investigators, McCauley hit the vehicle of 72-year-old Eleanor Caperton.
