Number of Charleston cruise ships capped at 104

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The number of cruise ships that can call on Charleston harbor each year has been set at 104.

The ordinance passed on an 8 to 5 vote at Tuesday night's city council meeting.

The ordinance does give a process to make changes to the number of ships in the future, but the ports authority needs to give a year's notice if they want to ask for changes.
