Burglary suspect's bond set at $130,000 in Berkeley Co.

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

A Berkeley County judge set bond at $130,000 for a man suspected of breaking into a home and several vehicles in Cane Bay Plantation on Tuesday.

Berkeley County sheriff's deputies arrested 23-year-old Ryan Due, of Summerville, on Tuesday night. Due faced a bond court judge Wednesday for the break-ins, which occurred around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. His bond was set a $130,000 at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center bond court.

According to deputies, an off-duty Dorchester County Corrections Officer says he saw the suspect in a neighbor's car. The officer says he tried to detain the suspect, but he ran.

While the suspect fled, he allegedly fired a pistol at the corrections officer. No one was hurt.
