Many Lowcountry residents woke up to a smoky start Thursday morning. A prescribed burn over the Francis Marion National Forest has spread smoke down the coast.
Visibilities may drop below one mile in a few areas, but right now does not look like a huge concern for the morning drive. Residents will most likely smell the smoke, especially over Charleston and Berkeley counties.
Expect hazy sunshine Thursday morning with temperatures starting out in the low to mid 70's. Humidity will be on the increase Thursday afternoon, along with that an isolated thunderstorm can't be ruled out. Highs will be near 90.
No major weather concerns exist over the next few days. It will be very August-like. Expect a slight chance for afternoon storms as we finish out the work week and head into the weekend. Highs through Sunday will be in the low 90's and overnight lows in the 70's.
