Fake marijuana, bath salts confiscated from convenience stores

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Andrews police are cracking down on a growing problem in their town.

In the last few days, detectives have confiscated 50 packages of bath salts and 20 packages of fake marijuana from neighborhood convenience stores in Georgetown County.

Chief Jennifer Flowers says the drugs were removed after town council took emergency action last week to stop anyone from selling, using or owning them.

So far, no one has been charged under the new ordinance.
