Escapee racks up 29 charges after 3-day manhunt

HAMPTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A Georgia man who escaped from a sheriff's deputy - and was on the run for three days in the Lowcountry - now faces new charges.

Authorities say 37-year-old Perry Sullivan faces 29 charges after overpowering a deputy and stealing his cruiser and gun last Thursday.

Sullivan also facing charges of breaking into a house in Fairfax and stealing a truck and SUV.

Sullivan is also accused of holding three people at gunpoint during a convenience store robbery in Sycamore.

When he broke free from authorities, Sullivan was being taken to Georgia to face a burglary charge.
