
Former South Carolina DB Fred Bennett has signed a deal with the Arizona Cardinals according to published reports. The former Gamecock's contract was terminated by the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday. A 4 year NFL veteran, Bennett has tallied 125 tackles and 5 interceptions in 48 career games with the Texans, Chargers and Bengals.
The 27-year-old is a Manning, SC native and played in the Shrine Bowl in 2001. He went on to play 4 seasons with the Gamecocks collecting 9 interceptions, 108 tackled and 13 tackles for a loss.
