Second Most Wanted suspect arrested for armed robbery

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) -

An armed robbery suspect featured on Live 5's Most Wanted segment was arrested Wednesday at his mother's house in St. George.

Summerville police captured 20-year-old Terril Alexander Riley who is wanted for armed robbery charges in the El Cheapo gas station stickup. Riley's alleged accomplice, 23-year-old Danyelle Renee Devore turned herself in earlier this week. She is charged with accessory after the fact to armed robbery.

Summerville police investigators say they received tips after the Most Wanted segment ran last week that led officers to Riley.

Police say both suspects were involved in the March holdup at an El Cheapo gas station.

"Mr. Riley, he was actually the one who went into the store armed and holding the people down at gunpoint," said Rogers.

Rogers said Devore was supposed to help pull off the heist.

"She was actually going to be the getaway driver, but was unavailable that time, but with her involvement we went ahead and charged her also."

Police said the victims were terrified during the robbery.

"Someone comes in armed, threatening them and shows a gun in their face, It's got to be absolutely terrifying," Rogers said. "I believe they've also been involved with some other crimes since and possibly wanted for some other crimes in other jurisdictions."
