Coast Guard rescues man after seizure at sea

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - Coast Guard Sector Charleston was called 60 miles offshore Tuesday morning to help a man who had a seizure.

The 49-year-old victim, was on a 41-foot fishing vessel when the seizure happened around 11:15 a.m.

The captain of the vessel called search and rescue controllers at Coast Guard Sector Charleston and requested medical assistance. The Coast Guard launched an MH-65 Dolphin air rescue crew to reach the vessel.

Crews took Bohon to Georgetown Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
