    Pete Ambrose chose to hear the bad news first.Late Monday, the farmer and owner of Ambrose Farms on Wadmalaw Island got wind of a $1092 citation issued by The City of Charleston, for advertising signs he posted on city property.The signs read, U-Pick Strawberries and list a phone number for Ambrose Farms. CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Greg Rawls has won the Cooper River Bridge Run design contest. Rawls is a Daniel Island artist and was one of as many as 80 people to submit their ideas for the contest.

Next year's bridge run and walk will be held on March 31. You still have plenty of time to decide if you want to run, but registration is open now at www.bridgerun.com.

The early registration discount ends on Feb. 1.
