MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Police have arrested two more suspects in connection with an armed robbery and shooting at a McDonald's in Mount Pleasant.
Deron Moultrie turned himself in to investigators Wednesday and has been charged with armed robbery and attempted murder. George Herman McClain III was taken into custody Thursday morning and is being charged with accessory before the fact of armed robbery for his participation in the alleged planning of Saturday's robbery.
Authorities say McClain is an employee of the McDonald's that was robbed at 3060 Ironclad Alley on Saturday.
Police already arrested 27-year-old Joseph B. Whiteside Jr. and 20-year-old Timothy D. Taylor. Whiteside was charged with armed robbery and attempted murder. He is accused of shooting the store manager.
Whiteside was given a $50,000 personal recoganissance bond on Monday.
The following day, state Senator Chip Campsen said of Whiteside's bond, "If they demonstrated a willingness to shoot someone in an armed robbery attempt, they are a risk to society and should not be let out on a personal recognaissance bond."
Taylor posted a $30,000 bond on an armed robbery charge.
