$200,000 bond set for McDonald's employee in shooting, robbery

MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - The latest man arrested in connection with the robbery and shooting at a Mt. Pleasant McDonald's last weekend was given a $200,000 bond Friday morning.

George Herman McClain III was taken into custody Thursday morning and is charged with accessory before the fact of armed robbery for his participation in the alleged planning of Saturday's robbery. He received a $200,000 bond Friday and is still in jail.

Authorities say McClain is an employee of the McDonald's that was robbed at 3060 Ironclad Alley on Saturday.

Deron Moultrie turned himself in to police Wednesday and is charged with armed robbery and attempted murder. Moultire was given a $200,000 bond Thursday.

Officers have already arrested Timothy Taylor and Joseph Whiteside Jr. Investigators say the suspects forced their way into the back of the store just before 7 a.m. Saturday.  Police say Whiteside shot one of the store managers, who survived.
