FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (WSVN/CNN) - A woman in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, is being held without bail for allegedly punching two girls on a school bus.
A judge ordered for 23-year-old Cynthia Haynes to be held without bond.
Police say Haynes went on the attack after her 11-year-old sister got into a fight with another student at a bus stop. When the 11-year-old girl walked home and told Haynes what happened, the sheriff's office says Haynes got into a car with her sister and then went searching for the school bus.
"When the 11-year-old got onto the bus she restarted the fight with the other 11-year-old who is now on the bus," said Dani Moschella.
In a rage, the sheriff's office says, Haynes stormed past the bus driver toward the child.
"Goes to the back of the bus and intervenes in this fight, during that intervention, she slapped the 11-year-old victim," Moschella said. "The 23-year-old grabs the 14-year-old and drags her out of her seat and down the aisle."
The sheriff's office says both victims were left with cuts to their faces. Haynes will not be released from jail anytime soon.
