JACKSON, TN (WBBJ/CNN) - A Tennessee man is facing life in prison after being charged with 107 counts of child rape.
Police arrested Roy McCarty, 37, on Wednesday.
They say the alleged sexual assaults started when the boy was eight-years-old and happened between 2008 and 2010. The boy's mother told police about the molestation.
When officers took McCarty into custody, they say they saw incriminating evidence inside his mobile home, including photos of the child.
The little boy is a family friend, and police are trying to figure out if there are any other possible victims.
"We're going to continue to investigate, and if there's anyone that knows Mr. McCarty, who knows of any activity that he may have been involved in, we strongly encourage them to contact the police department so we can investigate," said Lt. Tyreece Miller with the Jackson, TN Police Department.
