Former Gamecock Meredith Signed By Steelers

Former Gamecock OL Jamon Meredith was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday to replace Willie Colon who was placed on IR.
Meredith started the season with the New York Giants but was let go on the final day to cut down rosters. Meredith was a 5th round pick in 2009 by the Green Bay Packers. He's also spent time with the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions.
The Simpsonville native spent 4 seasons with the Gamecocks leaving after the '97 season. He's played in 10 career NFL games with 4 starts.
