Congressman shows off Lowcountry economy to fellow Republican

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Tim Scott met with House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy to tour some of the Lowcountry's economic drivers.

The two met with officials at MUSC's Children's Hospital, SPAWAR, the Charleston port and Boeing.

Scott says it's important to highlight major economic assets that benefit not only the Lowcountry with jobs, but also to drive the national economy.

Scott recently proposed a bill limiting the power of the National Labor Relations Board.  The bill has to pass the Senate before it can become law.
