NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - If you drive along Interstate 526 between Rivers Avenue and Savannah Highway during rush hour you know how bad traffic gets. That corridor is one of the busiest in the state and the area is growing.
The Department of Transportation wants to hear your ideas on how to cut back on congestion during a meeting Tuesday night.
The DOT hired a team of engineers to study the issue and come up with options to deal with the increasing traffic.
A public meeting is scheduled Tuesday night at 5:30 at North Charleston City Hall. There will be a 15-minute presentation followed by an open discussion.
Another meeting will be set for the second half of next year to give feedback on traffic improvement ideas.
