BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two men in connection with the seizure of 42.6 grams of crack cocaine and 8.2 grams of powder cocaine Friday. The street value of the drugs seized was over $5000.00.

Authorities say a vehicle was stopped when one of the occupants threw an open beer can out the window.

As deputies searched the vehicle, they discovered crack and powder cocaine. Deputies arrested Adam Rivers, 33, of Moncks Corner and Carl Johnson, 30, of Moncks Corner. Both men are being charged with having an open container, trafficking cocaine base, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Johnson was also charged with simple possession of marijuana.

Later on that day in an unrelated incident, Sheriff's deputies arrested 21-year-old Jermaine Wayman of North Charleston for trafficking cocaine. Authorities seized 16 grams from Wayman on a traffic stop with a street value of $1600.
