CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Funeral services were held on Tuesday for 21-year-old Thomas Shine who was shot to death at a downtown apartment earlier this month.
Police are still looking for Donyell Wright in connection with the shooting. Wright goes by the nickname "Cross-Eyed Donny." They say his last known address was on Longpoint Road in Mount Pleasant.
"Anybody with any information, stop withholding it. Stop talking about that snitch and stuff like that. This young boy is gone," murder victim's mother Yolanda Shine said.
Shine describes her son as a young man who loved life and was the loving father to a young boy.
"He tried to change his life, not try. He did that. He changed his life, and that's what makes me happy sometimes when I think back," Shine said.
Charleston Police say Thomas Shine was shot to death at an apartment on Line Street. They say it happened at about 1 a.m. on Sept. 16.
