Cops: Fiance, 3 others behind bars for 21-year-old woman's shooting death

ST. STEPHEN, SC (WCSC) - Investigators have locked up a 23-year-old man and charged him in connection with the shooting death of his fiancee.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested Aveon Goodman in connection with Monday's shooting death of 21-year-old Brittany Aigoro, Goodman's fiancee.

The sheriff's office, with the assistance of the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office, also arrested 22-year-old Brandon Jenkins, 24-year-old Joshua Jenkins and 22-year-old Sheldon Goodman, all of Eutawville, in connection with the shooting.

The four suspects will face a bond court judge Thursday night in Berkeley County.

According to the Berkeley County Coroner's Office, Aigoro, of Pineville, was visiting friends at a house on 1510 Russellville Road near St. Stephen when she was shot and killed around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

The investigation revealed that a group of individuals were attempting to carry out an armed robbery of the people at the home. Gunshots were fired during the armed robbery and two victims were injured.

Aigoro succumbed to her injuries while on the scene and another victim was transported to an emergency room and treated for his wounds.
