MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - According to affidavits, the shooting happened during an attempted robbery - a shooting that took the life of 21-year-old Brittany Aigoro. In connection to the murder, four suspects were arrested and faced a judge Thursday that declared they be "bound over" to a circuit trial.
"Bound over" means that the Magistrate judge that the four suspects faced can't set bond for the men because all four men are charged with murder. Bond for murder can only be set at a circuit court.
The suspects, 22-year-old Brandon Jenkins, 24-year-old Joshua Jenkins, 22-year-old Sheldon Goodman and 23-year-old Aveon Goodman, who was Aigoro's fiance, now can expect one of four things to happen.
They could possibly sit in the Berkeley County Jail for the next two to three years waiting for a trial. Based on what the investigation uncovers, charges could be dropped or reduced only if anything changes while they're waiting on a trial.
Or the most common of the four options, a bond hearing will be requested before a circuit judge on the murder charges.
It's still unclear what role 23-year-old Aveon Goodman played in this murder, if any, of his fiance or what the motive was.
