BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office has arrested another suspect in connection with the murder of Brittany Aigoro.
Authorities arrested 22-year-old Deanna Shaw of St. Stephen on Thursday and charged her with murder, attempted murder and attempted armed robbery. She is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner awaiting a bond court hearing.
Four other suspects in the case, who have already been denied bond on a charge of murder, will also appear in bond court to face additional charges of attempted murder and armed robbery.
One of the four suspects, Aveon Goodman, was Aigoro's fiance.
The sheriff's office, with the assistance of the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office, had also arrested 22-year-old Brandon Jenkins, 24-year-old Joshua Jenkins and 22-year-old Sheldon Goodman, all of Eutawville, in connection with the shooting.
According to the Berkeley County Coroner's Office, Aigoro, of Pineville, was visiting friends at a house on 1510 Russellville Road near St. Stephen when she was shot and killed around 12:30 a.m. Monday.
The investigation revealed that a group of individuals were attempting to carry out an armed robbery of the people at the home. Gunshots were fired during the armed robbery and two victims were injured.
Aigoro succumbed to her injuries while on the scene and another victim was transported to an emergency room and treated for his wounds.
