CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation is planning lane closures along Interstate 526, both eastbound and westbound near the Berkeley and Charleston County line Sunday night for maintenance of the cameras and control cabinets.
Crews will close the right lane of I-526 eastbound from Virginia Avenue to Clements Ferry Road. SC-DOT says they will then close the right lane going westbound from Clements Ferry Road to Virginia Avenue. Both closures will occur from 8p.m. until 5:30a.m. Monday morning.
Barricades, cones, signs, message boards and flashing arrows will be in place in the construction zone and on the bridge. The public is asked to please use caution while driving in the work zone and follow the directions of the signs and flagmen.
