BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A sixth person arrested in the death of a St. Stephen woman will stay behind bars, at least for the next few months. She was denied bond Tuesday night.

Berkeley County sheriff's deputues arrested 17-year-old Arnashia Stokes and charged her with murder, attempted murder and armed robbery in the death Brittany Aigoro. Stokes was arrested in Santee on Tuesday.

She was tearful as she stood before the bond court judge, who denied her bond because of the nature of the crime.

Investigators say Aigoro was visiting friends on Sept. 26 at a home on Russellville Road.

Police say shots were fired into the home during a robbery attempt, killing Aigoro and injuring Kendrick Shirer, who was also in the home at the time.

On Sept. 28, four men were arrested and charged with murder; Brandon Jenkins, Joshua Jenkins, Sheldon Goodman, and the victim's fiancee, Aveon Goodman.

Two days later, police arrested Deanna Shaw and charged her with murder as well.

In bond court, Stokes mother told the judge her daughter was a good kid, a straight-a student and was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
