Suspect at large after CVS armed robbery

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who is wanted in connection with an armed robbery Saturday at a Pawleys Island CVS.

Deputies say that around 10:20 p.m. Saturday, a man entered the CVS on Highway 17 South armed with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled on foot in the direction of "Tuesday Morning" with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Deputies say the clerk was not injured during the incident. The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5'6" wearing a black hoodie, jeans and a ski mask.

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office used a bloodhound tracking team, but were unable to track the suspect.

Anyone that can identify the suspect or has any information about the robbery is asked to call the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5102.
