Deputies investigate armed robbery at Ladson home

LADSON, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County sheriff's deputies are looking for three men in connection with a home invasion and armed robbery which happened in Ladson in early October.

Authorities say the incident happened just after midnight on October 1 at a home on Sherman Drive in the Caromi Village neighborhood.  One of the victims told deputies that as she was leaving the residence, three armed men wearing masks ordered her back into the house while holding a handgun to the back of her head.

Two of the residents at the home told officers that they recognized one of the suspects because of his voice and a specific tattoo on his neck.

One of the victims told deputies that he was pistol-whipped by the known suspect, who was reportedly carrying a .38 special.  The victim said the other two gunmen were carrying what appeared to be 9MM pistols.

Authorities say residents were then forced at gunpoint to retrieve money.  The residents said the robbers got away with $400 and a Cricket mobile phone.

Victims said the suspects drove off in what appeared to be a dark-colored Chevrolet Suburban.
