North Charleston drug dealer gets 15 years in jail

COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) - A 26-year-old man was sentenced to 15 years and 6 months in jail for dealing drugs in North Charleston.

Chief U.S. District Judge David C. Norton sentenced Raynard D. Williams, who has prior drug related convictions, for distribution of cocaine base.

North Charleston Police Department Narcotics Unit made an undercover purchase of 6.2 grams of crack cocaine from Williams on Oct. 8.

The undercover purchase was part of Operation S.T.A.N.D., a joint initiative between the NCPD, the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Charleston County Solicitor's Office.
