Crews remove plane from Mount Pleasant marsh

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - The small plane that made an emergency landing in a Mount Pleasant marsh more than a week ago was removed on Monday.

A helicopter lifted the aircraft out of the water. The pilot was flying to Fort Lauderdale when he tried to make an emergency landing at the East Cooper airport.

He instead landed in the marsh near the Rivertowne subdivision. No one was hurt and the FAA is still trying to figure out exactly what caused the problem.
