JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

A Johns Island man faces 10 years to life in prison after a federal jury found him guilty Monday in a cocaine trafficking case.

Marcus Gibbs was found guilty of unlawful transport of firearms, money laundering and conspiracy to distribute narcotics involving 5 kilograms or more of cocaine.

Gibbs was one of two men arrested following a cocaine trafficking operation bust on Johns Island last year where authorities confiscated more than $400,000 in drugs, cash and personal property.

Investigators seized 12 kilograms of cocaine, valued at $352,000, $14,000 in cash and seized two cars and other property valued at more than $50,000.
