WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Two men arrested Friday in connection with an armed home invasion are still behind bars after appearing in court over the weekend.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office arrested 23-year-old Phillip Moses and 23-year-old Levell Grant and charged them with first-degree burglary, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
The two were arrested in connection with an Oct. 22 armed home invasion where five armed people force their way into a home and robbed the homeowner on Dogwood Road in West Ashley. Bond was set at $100,000 for both suspects.
Detectives have already arrested 17-year-old Devoun Bennett in connection to the incident. Bennett was charged with first-degree burglary, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Authorities say the victim reported the crime after he heard about the attempted home invasion and shooting on Pierpont Avenue that killed a 5-year-old girl.
The sheriff's office says it is looking into the possibility of the two incidents being related. A spokesman says right now, nothing is being ruled out.
