2 wanted for armed robbery at Pawleys Island gas station

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying two men who are wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the Kangaroo Express in Pawleys Island.

Deputies say two men entered the Kangaroo Express at 10459 Ocean Highway armed with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money around 2 a.m. on Monday. The suspects fled on foot out the front door toward Waverly Road with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not injured during the incident.

The suspects are described as two black males wearing masks and gloves. One suspect was wearing a grey shirt and the other suspect was wearing a black coat.

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office Bloodhound Tracking Team responded to the scene and led handlers behind Tuesday Morning through Harrow Street to Petigru Drive where the trail was lost.
