Man pistol-whipped during robbery, police say

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are looking for two men who allegedly pistol-whipped a man at the Alston Arms apartments early Monday morning.

North Charleston Police Department officers responded to 2410 Alston Avenue just after 5 a.m. to find the victim bleeding from his head.  The man told police that he was jumped from behind by two black males standing between 5'6" and 5'7" wearing black clothing.

The victim said they tried to rob him, but ended up just beating him when they found out he didn't have any money.  The victim said it felt like he was beaten with a handgun.
