CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Taxpaying citizens of Charleston County are going to have to wait a little bit longer for their property tax bills after a new extension was approved by the South Carolina Department of Revenue.
County Council Chairman Teddie Pryor said Monday that County Auditor Peggy Moseley sent a letter last week asking for the extension which will run through November 30.
Pryor said all of the property tax bills should be sent out by mid-November and DMV bills should be sent out this week.
Bills for December should also be sent out in mid-November, Pryor said. All residents who haven't received notices will receive tax notices before end of the month.
