ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The sheriff's office has arrested a 35-year-old man after several residents reported they had been swindled out of more than $65,000 for mobile homes that were never delivered.
The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office charged Ifrom Devant Colter with breach of trust with fraudulent intent.
According to investigators, several residents filed reports in the past few days saying they had given Colter more than $65,000 to purchase mobile homes that were never delivered.
"We believe there are more individuals that could have given this man funds for trailers, mobiles homes or vehicles and they never received the items," Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said."It saddens me to hear how individuals have given their hard earned money to Colter for homes and vehicles and they never received anything for their money. We want people who have been swindled by Ifrom Colter to come forward so they can get some justice."
