WADMALAW ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A 49-year-old woman suffered minor injuries Monday night after being hit by a car on Wadmalaw Island. Charleston County sheriff's deputies are looking for the driver of the car who fled the scene of the accident.

According to deputies, a woman reported that she was hit by a mirror on a white pick-up trick around 8:15 p.m. on Halloween while she was walking on Bears Bluff Road. The truck continued traveling south on Bears Bluff Road and was not located.

The victim was transported to MUSC and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The truck, believed to be a white Ford pick-up, should be missing the right side mirror, deputies say.
