CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - State legislators are drafting a new bill called "Allison's Law" which would in some cases make home invasion a crime punishable by the death penalty.

State representative Chip Limehouse is the driving force behind the bill, which is named for Allison Griffor, the 5-year-old girl who died last week after she was shot in the head during a home invasion in West Ashley.

Representative Limehouse says the Griffor family supports their effort to get the bill passed.
