Man wearing Halloween mask robs North Charleston liquor store

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are looking for a man wearing a Halloween mask that robbed a liquor store at knife point last week.

According to police, a man wearing a rubber Halloween mask walked into the Carolina Spirits liquor store located at 8780 Rivers Avenue around 1:45 p.m. on Oct. 27 and stole money from the cash register.

One of the victims told investigators that the suspect walked behind the counter and demanded she open the cash drawer and filing cabinet drawers.

The suspect removed cash from the register and also removed a cash bag from the cabinet drawer. The victim told police that he had a knife in one hand during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, approximately 5'11" to 6'0" with medium build. He was wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt and jeans with a rubber Halloween mask.

According to store employees, once outside the store the suspect removed his rubber mask. The suspect then fled to the right of the store.
