USC falls in polls, Clemson remains in top 10

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Saturday night's loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks dropped South Carolina a few spots in the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Poll.

Following the 44-28 loss, the Gamecocks are now the 15th ranked team in the nation in both polls.

Meanwhile, Clemson had a bye week to recover after their loss to Georgia Tech. Voters still like Clemson though, putting them at No. 10 in the Coaches Poll and No. 9 in the AP Poll.

At the top of the college football mountain, LSU continues to sit at No. 1 after beating the Alabama Crimson Tide in an overtime victory, 9-6. Alabama fell two spots to No. 4.

The BCS rankings will be released Sunday evening.
