Sheriff: Man grabbed victim by the back of her neck during robbery

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Authorities are looking for a man who forcibly robbed a Summerville cell phone store Wednesday morning.

Deputies with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office responded to a robbery call at Chatcomm Wireless on 1001 Bacons Bridge Road.

According to the victim, the suspect is a black male wearing a gray coat, blue Dickie pants, and a gray fur-lined cap with ear flaps.

The female victim said the suspect entered the store and asked if they had iPhones.  Deputies say the suspect followed the victim when she went behind the counter to get another cell phone when he grabbed her by the back of the neck and led her to the cash register.

He told her to shut up and give him all the money in the cash register, before running out the store, the report states.

The victim said the suspect wore mechanic type gloves that left small cuts on the back of her neck.

Investigators are reviewing footage from the store's security cameras to help identify the suspect.
