Citadel cadet still missing near Folly Beach

FOLLY BEACH, SC (WCSC) -

A Citadel cadet is still missing Monday morning. Folly Beach police have stopped searching the water for Joshua Edwards, who has been missing since at least Thursday night.

Police have been searching for Edwards on Folly Beach with assistance from the Coast Guard since Friday morning. Officials say they will continue to search the beach during low tide.

The Citadel says Edwards missed several attendance checks at the school Thursday evening and the school is concerned about his whereabouts.

Rescue officials were called out to Folly Beach on Friday morning to assist in the search.

The school is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Edwards to contact The Citadel Public Safety Department at 953-5114.
