Two arrested in "strange love triangle" case

BISHOPVILLE, SC (WIS) - Two Bishopville residents are in trouble after being charged with two separate crimes against a 15-year-old.

Officials say 24-year-old Mary Skinner is accused of having sex with the minor and her husband, Curtis Skinner, for assaulting him after finding the two kissing.

Deputies are calling it a strange love triangle.

"It's one of those odd cases where a man walks into his home and found his wife in a compromising position," said Maj. James Dellinger.

Dellinger say the boy was having an inappropriate relationship with Mary. He says the love affair came to light Monday when the 15-year-old called 911 saying he was attacked by Curtis at a home on Dubose Backwoods Road.

"He'd come home into a room and found the 15-year-old and his woman touching each other and he acted aggressively," said Dellinger.

Investigators say the boy told them he and Mary had been intimate since last month, at the Skinner's home off Razor Lane in Bishopville.

When deputies questioned Mary, they say she also confessed.

"It starts off as touching and fondling and two sexual encounter at the home," said Dellinger.

Investigators also say Mary confessed the two encounters took place in the afternoons. She's charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor while Curtis is charged with assault and battery.
