CLEMSON, SC (AP/WCSC) - Funeral services have been set for a 19-year-old Clemson University from Mount Pleasant who was found dead in an off-campus apartment.

Authorities say Tyler J. Karolczyk was been pronounced dead shortly after his roommate found him unresponsive in their apartment on Saturday.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 in Christ Church, 2304 Highway 17 North, Mt. Pleasant. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m at Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley says Karolczyk was pronounced dead just before 11 a.m. Saturday at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Kelley says the pre-business sophomore's death may have been from alcohol poisoning. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Assistant Pickens County Sheriff Tim Morgan says authorities are investigating the death and awaiting toxicology tests.
