Teen injured in downtown shooting

Charleston police are investigating a shooting which injured a 17-year-old boy Sunday night.

Charleston Police Department officers responded to the area of Senate Street and Strawberry Lane, near the Crosstown, around 8 p.m.  When they arrived, officers said they found a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.

Police said they found him lying on nearby Carondolet Street.  He was taken to MUSC for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities did not say if they had any suspects yet.
