Cops: 3 arrested after drugs, guns, money found at homes

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police arrested three men last week for possession of drugs, guns, and money after executing search warrants at homes on America and Maverick streets.

Officers with the Charleston Police Department first executed the search warrant at 3 Maverick Street on Wednesday, where they say they found a gram of cocaine, seven grams of heroin, and a handgun.

The resident, 45-year-old Mark Tyrone Tollerson, is charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of heroin within close proximity of a school, and possession of cocaine.

Then on Thursday, police executed a search warrant at 54A America Street and confiscated 20 grams of cocaine, $1,500 in cash and a stolen handgun.

The residents, 29-year-old Terrell Jamar Jenkins and 24-year-old Michael Rashad Jenkins were arrested.

The elder Jenkins is charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of a stolen handgun. Michael Rashad Jenkins is charged with trafficking cocaine.

All three are being held in the Charleston County Detention Center.  The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
