Ashley Ridge Baseball Players Sign NLI's To Local Colleges

Four Ashley Ridge baseball players will sign National Letters of Intent on Thursday to play baseball at the next level. Two will head to the College of Charleston, 1 to The Citadel and 1 to Coastal Carolina. All were part of the Swamp Foxes team that went 18-8 last season and finished 2nd in the region.

Pitcher Austin Livingston will sign with the Bulldogs. He went 9-1 as a Junior with a 1.45 ERA. He also had 82 strikeouts in just 58 innings of work. Livingston also plays 3rd base and hit .375 last year. He was an all state selection in 2010.

Catcher Nick Bell will head to Coastal Carolina after a season that saw him throw out 45% of potential base stealers. He also hit .300 with 20 RBI last year.

Lorenzo Wright, an outfielder, will sign with the College of Charleston. He hit .330 last season with 27 runs scored and 12 stolen bases.

First baseman Bryan Dye will join Wright with the Cougars. He hit .401 last year with 10 extra base hits and 30 RBI. He was also an all state selection in 2010.
